     2007 Nissan Xterra  vin# 5n1an08u07c547416
    Shop installed reman Nissan Ecm.
    Autel software 1.29
I cannot write the vin on this truck. When I went to the vin write option I entered it both time as asked, then clicked ok. The only character that it wrote was the 1st one (5). I tried it several times.
    ecu part # 23710-zp55a
I used my cardaq to flash the pcm with the most current. I also used my key programmer to unlock the nats system. The truck started and ran ok. but no vin is programmed into the ecu. Does it have to be done by the j 2534 on the autel device? One other note, on my cardaq program thru NERS it will not write the vin as well. I am not sure why. I have not been able to write any Nissan vin's with the Cardaq and NERS software. I have emaile Nissan tech help and they are really not helpful at all with this issue. I was hoping the Autel would do this for me.
    Thanks

You should be able to do it threw the oem website and yes use the j2534 to do it you
might have to reflash it again then it will prompt you to put the vin in
